OK today my son and i went shopping he has never really been that great shopping or anything like that. And i am trying to come up with some ideas of what to do with my son. Well anyways my son has Epilepsy, and so he is super shy in public and everything. So any help or ideas would be much appreciated.I am wanting ideas for things to do with my six year old son, advice?
Outside of your home....
Take him to the park.
Miniature Golf.
Ride bikes.
Swimming.
Play baseball in your own backyard.
Fly a kite.
Plan a scavenger hunt outside.
Water balloon fight.
Camping (even if it's in your own backyard)
Go for a walk or go hiking.
Go to the beach and make sandcastles.
Create a nature list and the two of you find the items together (rock, leaf, pinecones, etc).
Pick fruit (my niece went pick strawberries with me once and LOVED it).
Gaze at the stars together with binoculars or a telescope.
Have a picnic and make pictures out of the clouds.
Have him help you make a little garden (flowers, veggies, fruit).
Have him help you wash your car (my son LOVES this one).
Go to a museum, aquarium, or the zoo
Things to do indoors....
Play board games or cards.
Do a scavenger hunt.
Do puzzles.
Bake a cake or cookies and let him help.
Watch movies.
Create your own play.
Play trucks/cars.
Play wrestle.
Video games.
Make tie dye shirts for the both of you.
Build a fort.I am wanting ideas for things to do with my six year old son, advice?
In my experience a great self esteem builder would be enrolling in a tikwando class. It is something you can do together, because it is usually split up by belts and experience instead of age, so it is something you could learn together. It also focuses on mental as well as physical, so it would be a great boost for him.
To the movies, library get books to read at home. If able to go swimming, to the park, to a play group to play with other children. On a vacation. Camping, to a amusement park and more there are tons of things you can do with your son. Teach him to play baseball, or soccer or basketball. Go bike riding. As long as he is allowed to go/ Best Wishes.
Movies are great! either renting them, or going to the movie in theatres. you could paint too haha. sounds kinda lame, but painting is fun. like go buy a big rug (one of those enviornment ones, made of recycled plastic bottles) [i hvae one and it was fun.] and then get a bunch of paint and paint it with designs on it and just have fun! that is a blast and lets him be creative, and best of all gives him something to put in his room that HE made. and quality time with mom :)
Take him fishing, camping, to natural history museum, visit the local fire station, play miniature golf, take him to a car race at a local track...little boys like adventure and are interested in dinosaurs and fire trucks. These activities are not expensive and he will remember them when he is 40 yrs old. Both my 40+ yr old sons still talk about us doing all those things when they were small.
playing catch, swimming lessons (my lil brother LOVES swimming), fishing is always a blast, some sort of sport, mini put put, take him to one of those pottery painting places! kids love it when they get to make messes w/ paints! or in this case, i should say glaze. :)
my son loves to go camping. You not around a lot of people and its a great experience.
cinema
while shopping or just in general?
play ball
go to movies
ride bikes
