I have a car loan with my ex, and was wondering how I can get my name off of it. Any advice?

I am trying to rebuild my credit and repair it also and he is just ruining it for me. He is not making the payments on time and he really doesn't care, cause his credit is shot for a long time. I want to buy my own home within the next two years and am afraid I wont be able to due to this.I have a car loan with my ex, and was wondering how I can get my name off of it. Any advice?
You will not be able to get your name off of this loan.

Good luck.I have a car loan with my ex, and was wondering how I can get my name off of it. Any advice?
sorry but i think you cant i would call the co. that you have the loan with an talk to them
You would have to sit down with the loan people together and refinance and one of you could sign off of it. I also know someone who got taken to civil court for a matter like this and the judge ruled that they split the balance in half. Make sure you talk to the bank the loan is with and freeze it so that no other charges can be added to it! Best of luck to you!

Do NOT over water. This can lead to root rot and eventually you kill drown your plant to death. Depending on the plant, they usually don't need a ton of sunlight, maybe 3-5 hours a day is a good amount. Synthetic light is also good enough. What are some tip or advice on growing indoors?

What is one piece of advice you would give out to a critic?

And I'm not talking about the constructive type. I mean the know-it-all kind.

I'd cite Jesus: He without sin may cast the first stone. What is one piece of advice you would give out to a critic?
I think that you answered your own question with the quote from Jesus, ';Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.'; And, what people seem to forget about that quote is that Jesus also bent down and start drawing in the dirt. Many Biblical scholars think he was writing down the sins of the woman's accusers, just to remind them of their hypocrisy should they decide to toss a stone in the direction of the ';sinful'; woman!

Easy to say but very difficult to practice in real life. It's a constant struggle not to judge one another!

And, if your critic still doesn't ';get it,'; then stay far, far away from him or her! It's probably the best thing to do anyway. What is one piece of advice you would give out to a critic?
you can't be right all the time, and when you're wrong, the whole world will laugh in your face.

My husband may be getting circumcised, any advice from the female perspetive?

My husband recently began thinking about getting circumcised. Oddly enough i've never been with a circumcised man and didn't really know how to respond when he told me he was thinking about having it done? Is it really any different at all? Will lovemaking feel different? Has anyone been in a similar situation? Well any answers/advice would help really. My husband may be getting circumcised, any advice from the female perspetive?
I have been with both circumcised and non circumcised men. What I know for sure is that once skin is cut off the penis will not be able to grow as large as it once did. The lose skin on an uncircumcised penis gets fully expanded without any extra hanging unused when an erection is achieved. I have never seen a penis which has extra unused skin when erect. When skin is removed it also removes size, as in the ability to enlarge to its fullest extent. So, I suggest you advise your husband of this and then find out from an expert if this is true or not. I am not a professional but it seems logical to me that if skin which is used for an erection is removed, the erection will be smaller as the skin is not there any more which allowed for it to be as big as it once was. Usually baby boys are circumcised and so they never know what size they may have been had that not happened to them. I just don't know why a grown man would wish to reduce the potential size of his erected penis. Unless there is some skin which does not expand when he has an erection and this is causing him some embarressment. I have seen a guy who had a circumcision go wrong and it was rather distorted during an erection. I never had sex with this guy, he was a friend but he told me how they messed him up as a baby and how embarressed he was to get with a girl. He was totally messed up emotionally about how his penis looks when erect that he avoids relationships and sex period. How sad that is. I would seriously speak with a couple of doctors and look up the possible side effects of this proceedure. I would not encourage this at all. As far as love making goes, it is not different with either way. It just affects the total possible size of an erection and if the size matters to you then it will be an issue for you. For me size is moot. Sex is so much more than just the penetration part. I would worry more about how this will impact your man. Find out why this has come up, what is behind this sudden desire to mutilate his penis. That is what it is by the way, self mutilation. It is much better though for a grown man to make a decision for his own, rather than a parent decide for an infant to mutilate his poor penis. Let me tell you something. With my first child, a son, I thought circumcision was normal, just something you did naturally for cleaniness and to avoid infection. I went ahead and signed the paper without anyone telling me clearly what would happen to him. It was done the second day after his birth and he had a bandaid but seemed Ok. Well, the next day I was walking down to the nursery to see my baby and I heard these blood curdling screams coming from a room. I looked in and saw this tiny baby boy tied down in some contraption and the doctor was cutting away at his little penis, blood was all over the place. This little baby was screaming so badly his entire body was purple! They did this without any numbing medication! They told me later (after I was somewhat composed, as I totally lost it) that as baby's will not ';remember'; the pain they see no reason to give pain medication or to numb the area they are cutting on!! I was furious and so mad at myself for just taking what they said at face value and not looking into it more fully. I did this to my own precious baby the day before and I was devestated thinking of him tied down like that and going through such agony!! I never forgave myself and made a promise that no child of mine would ever have it happen to him again!! My next son did not get this done and he did not have any problems with cleaniness or infections. I just taught him to how to keep clean and if it got a bit red I just poored a capfull of peroxide on it and it fixed it up in a day. He has never had a problem with it at all. My first son passed away from luekemia at two years five days old. I always deeply regreted that extra pain in his short life that the circumsisiom did to him. He had enough pain in his short little life that to have his mommy do that to him. My little nephew had a circumsision and his poor little penis is so tiny you could barely see it. I beleave they cut off what would have allowed him to have a larger erection that what he is capable of now. Once it is gone, it is gone for good. Also, men have told me that when you get circumsiced it allows for longer periods of erection, or that they can maintain longer without ejaculating as it is less sensitive. The uncircumsised men are more sensitive due to the protection the skin gives their penis while not erected. When the skin is removed the end of the penis is banged around more so to speak and it created a desensitizing of the penis which allows for a longer held erection. Now, I don't know if this is true, but this is what men have told me, and it may just be an old wives tale. I strongly suggest speaking with the doctor and your husband and you discussing this issue. As this is your husband it is your business too. What ever affects him affects your marriage and there for affects you as well. If this is something which is very important to him for some reason I also suggest you supporting him in this 100%. He is your husband and his happiness and needs should be of utmost importance to you. Blessed Be.My husband may be getting circumcised, any advice from the female perspetive?
ooohhhh....I love it when a man doesn't have a slipcover!! hehe! It will not change any sensation as far as your enjoyment goes, but it might change his (or so men say). It's a lot easier to keep the equipment nice %26amp; clean! Heads up though (and no pun intended there), it's gonna hurt now that he's a grown man. If it's for a medical reason, then maybe he should consider it. But if it's for any other reason, ya might want to leave well enough alone.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooouuuucccccccccc鈥?kiss it softly!!
I would be happy about it if I were you.I've experienced both.As far as feeling not any different to me.It's more easily for them to keep it squeaky clean.I'd much rather have it circumcised.Just my choice.

  • What is the best book for finding Legal Advice?

I am being sued and I cannot afford legal counsel. I need to know the best book(s) to get to file motions, set hearing dates, send information back and forth to the other party's attorney, etc ... Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!!What is the best book for finding Legal Advice?
This information varies a lot state by state, and a little bit even within the state. What state are you in? There is probably a legal clinic or even a private paralegal place such as ';We The People'; that can help you. The other place to go is to a law library, where you might get a little help.

Are you a person who is great with advice but your own personal life is always a mess?

I'm great at helping other people organize their lives or helping put them back together, but when it comes to my own stuff there is only one word. Disaster! Anyone else experience this? Are you a person who is great with advice but your own personal life is always a mess?
*raises hand*Are you a person who is great with advice but your own personal life is always a mess?
We find it easier to give advice to others because we are Psychologically ';buffered'; from the effect's (in a way) So we can be truly subjective and our emotion's don't take control. I feel the same way but you have to try and think of it the way you would help someone else with the problem. Or instead of being the one to help others maybe you could be the one to get advice for once? I know it's weird but I'm sure people will be more then happy to help you.
    Ah yes,

People always come to be for advice,

And I like to think I'm fair good at it..

The problem is you just can't take your own advice..

Maybe you care about others more than yourself?

If you want to keep others happy,

Then I'm sure they would like to see you take your advice and be happy too..

Also, it's kind of hypocrittical to give advice and not do the same thing you are telling others to do
Oh yes, I am somewhat like you. Then I think of the words of Jesus and reflect that he must have had a superb sense of humour in addition to his keen intellect and immeasurable love for humanity.

    Words of Jesus : '; Physician, heal thyself !';

Post Script : It is a tragedy that the real Jesus has been lost to humanity because of the misinterpretation of Jesus' life and teachings by guys who have become agents of God and Jesus ! I think the Buddhists, Hindus and Rationalists must save the real Jesus for the benefit of mankind. [ The atheists + agnostics can disagree with Jesus over God. But can they deny the validity and potency of Jesus' Path of Love and Service ?
A lot of people come to me with their problems and I advise them on what I think is best, when they have gone away I think to my self ';where did that come from'; They usually come and thank me a couple of days after! My life well I just get up go to work come home and go to bed when the time is right! boring old me
Yes, that's the curse of being a ';people pleaser.'; Do you think the people you've helped will return the favor when you are in need?
Yes. I love helping others and i am generally good at it if they let me help and take my advice but when it comes to my own life... i suck to put it simply.
I experince the exact opposite, im terrible at giving advice and my life is consistantly drama free
YES. I Give Advice often; Can't seem to take my own advice.

I am a young investor (18), and looking to put $900 in initially in stocks...Any advice?

I have done months of research. I have read at least 15 contemporary investing books, talked to investors, and even used an investing simulator to pick a stock and track it. I have found 3 very solid stocks and am looking to invest at least 75 weekly. Any advice before hit the ground running?I am a young investor (18), and looking to put $900 in initially in stocks...Any advice?
$900 split 3 ways is $300 each. COmmissions will amount to 3-4% of your investment. Not great, not horrible if you think you will own them for several years.

But I believe you are a better investment than any company. Buy some books and read them. Take a class (or several). Travel somewhere outside the country. Go find a local charity and donate a lot of time and a little money. ALl of these investments will pay back 100-fold.

Some books to get you started.

What do you know about these companies that most people do NOT know? Do you work there? Do you buy stuff from them or sell stuff to them? If you do not have some kind of advantage over the rest of the market investors, maybe they are not the right companies. BUy local companies so you can go on the plant tours, visit the CEO, attend the annual meetings.I am a young investor (18), and looking to put $900 in initially in stocks...Any advice?
Well. Looks like you have done the research.

Do not get into the market thinking you are going to make a loss. Always believe in fundamental investing.

Invest in companies with strong fundamentals like low debt strong balance sheet , huge cash reserve and a dividend history. The most important strong management and IF you can look for companies with low competition.

Investing for the long term is the best option you have right now because prices are depressed at the moment and buying them up at this price will only let you reap the benefits at a later stage.

My advise would be at this stage in oil industries if you can. For most people that foolishness at this stage the price of oil is down to about 30-40 dollars but within a year or two the prices are bound to strike up because the economy would be out of recession which would drive up the prices of oil because of demand.

2nd reason is because the oil nations cannot afford to keep the oil prices at such low level as it eventually hurts their economy.

    but that's my personal advise
The stock market is a hit and miss strategy. I would say to put some money into commodities, gold, oil, food products. These sectors don't usually lose much, but stay away from the peanuts lol

invest some in new and up coming companies...get a broker and listen to his/her advise.

Just be prepared to lose a little before you get alot. Dont, get all crazy if the stocks fall a bit....just wait and they will bounce back....

    good luck
By reading 15 books before you invest..... you're way ahead of 98% of the other investors that just wing it.

    Here are some of my basic rules/suggestions;

Always have stops %26amp; honor them.

    Always use position sizing

    Never take stock tips.

Grandparents, how receptive are your grandchildren to your advice?

I am curious as to how grandchildren today accept advice compared to say, when you were a child and listened to your own grandparents.Grandparents, how receptive are your grandchildren to your advice?
We always listened to what the grand parents had to say. It was tempered with great kindness and rules of social etiquette that allowed us to grow and to learn.

I find the same to be true for ours as well.Grandparents, how receptive are your grandchildren to your advice?
Didn't have my grandparents for that long.

My grandchildren may occasionally take to heart what I tell them, other times they may completely dismiss it. Either way is is OK with me if they actually listen when I am asked something and am answering, or when I think of something I want to tell them.
We talk about a lot of things so they know my ideas and opinions on subjects but unless asked directly I prefer not to offer advice on specific things. That's what parents are for and I want to make sure that I support what their parents have been suggesting. If I know ahead of time what the parents have said, I'll be happy to add support.
They listen intently and courteously, then do what they want.

I will know more when I talk to my granddaughter, in the next couple of days. Explain to her why she should not marry her boyfriend, next month. I will not tell her she should not, just explain the problems I see, for her, in the future.

That is if she calls me before the wedding. 8-(
My grandchildren listen to what I say much better than my children ever did (until they found out later in life that I knew just what I was talking about).
They listen politely, nod and then do as they please. Just like I did with my parents. I never knew my grandparents.
I don't give them advice. I don't take any from them either. Nor my sons. I don't like people telling me what to do.
    eight inteliigent answers are enough
My grandson is only 3 but he listens pretty well...but I guess we'll see as he gets older.

I am going to daytona beach flordia, and I amscared of flying in a plane, any advice?

I am scared of flying, i had a panic attack last time i flew, so any advice to help overcome my fear?, and also if anyone knows any cool places i coluld go in daytona beach florida, please tell me.

ps. and don't tell me to just drive down there.I am going to daytona beach flordia, and I amscared of flying in a plane, any advice?
I had a panic attack the first time I flew too, but I was was able to calm down as soon as we left the runway thanks to this website:

    http://www.fearofflyinghelp.com

It was created and is maintained by an experienced commercial airline pilot. It deals with all the issues of flying that make people afraid, and it teaches you how to calm yourself down if you feel a panic attack coming on. It also teaches you what all the different noises and sensations are that you experience on a plane. The site is complete with videos and audio recordings. I definitely recommend checking it out.I am going to daytona beach flordia, and I amscared of flying in a plane, any advice?
My boyfriend and I just went to Florida in July and he also gets panic attacks. He has never flown before and this was his first time. He asked his doctor for medicine, so his doctor gave him Xanax, he took 2 to get there and 2 to come back and he was fine. The Xanax calmed him down and made him relaxed. He also did things in the plane to keep his mind off like he brought his labtop computer and listened to music on his Iphone. The plane we went on (Jetblue) has a tv so it also helped watching tv to get his mind off. I was very surprised because he did very well and didn't panic at all.

As far as your other question, I went to Orlando, FL, so I wouldn't be able to help you with your other question, sorry.

Hope this helps and good luck.
i recently just went to Florida and it was the first time i flew. it was scary, but i started reading and put all my focus on that. it made me forget i was flying. that's the best thing to do. just get your mind off of it. and i was in Fort Lauderdale so I don't know about Daytona, but we went to the Everglades to see alligators and it was fun. also, you could go scuba diving in some parts and swim with dolphins. just try new things and foods and have a good trip!
ponce inlet lighthouse is pretty cool. If your older, the dance clubs are OK along the strip. if you like NASCAR, their track is pretty cool. best hotel for price and location would be Perry's on the beach. There are often boat cruises up and down the river with drinking and dancing, whech is pretty fun. your only like an hour away from St. Augustine.....the history there is GREAT!
Speaking realistically, you have a greater chance of getting killed and/or permanently crippled in a car crash than by being hurt in any way just getting off the plane. I'd recommend breathing to stay calm as NOT breathing does tend to lead one to panic.
I'm absolutely TERRIFIED of air travel so I bring my iPod so I listen to music as opposed to focusing on turbulence and stuff like that... I also hate it when the pressure changes... so I chew gum- it helps when your ears 'pop'.
Think about this: There's a greater chance of you getting into a car accident than you getting into a plane crash.

How many times have you been in a car lately??
Take something to knock you out

Boxing is dangerous at the end...

It麓s a risk.. just consider it.. even with no boxing you can be very strongIm thinking of boxing. is boxing really worth it? i want to be very strong, and a good fighter.advice anyone?
real boxing is not good it bangs around the head and it can cause so much trouble such as tumors and knocks you literally sense less i am sure you have seen some fighters that talk funny and all that its no lie they have lost something in their brain and are like nearly retarded. its not a good life and therefore i would go another way through life i am sure you have others means to follow and find besides it may end up someday being pusshed off by the accidents it causes.
Boxing is great if you want to use only your fists but in my opinion UCF is probably the best kind of fighting it is an awesome mix both of boxing and kickboxing.

Training for boxing will give you a really great work out and it is a great way to make friends and learn how to put your body to the maximum of its potential.

Need Advice What to do I am 2nd year Visual Arts and also been accepted into childcare course.?

I have to decide to whether to do childcare f/t 4 days a week just gives me 1 day for visual arts or part time 1 day a week. I will love to combine my visual arts course with teaching children. I need and love the creative outlet. If I do childcare f/t finish in Nov or p/t takes 18 months. Do I concentrate on my visual arts and do childcare parttime 1.30-8.30 Thurs.Need Advice What to do I am 2nd year Visual Arts and also been accepted into childcare course.?
Are you able to do the childcare parttime? or will that be a financial burden?

I would do the childcare parttime- 9 more months after november goes by very fast and you would finish next june and still be in your third year for visual arts.- It is great that you want to combine your courses with visual arts and teaching children- I majored in Art as well and am now getting my credential- hopefully to teach art- but there are so many other ways to combine them especially in childcare- where the curriculum is much more free. You can start working in the childcare area as well as soon as you get a few courses down. Montesorri schools are good places to work where you can use both your visual arts training and love of teaching children- I use to work for an after school program where we taught kids to draw.

Unless you are in a financial hurry- 9 extra months so you can keep doing art goes by very fast!!!

Need Advice- Is it really true that when you get the depo shot its harder to get pregnant?

I need advice what have been your experiences?Need Advice- Is it really true that when you get the depo shot its harder to get pregnant?
The average I鈥檝e heard of, is at least 18 months before they can conceive. The chances of having a miscarriage are greater due to the fact that the reproductive hormones are greatly affected by the shot causing an imbalance. Also, conceiving too soon after the shot, or right before the shot, can cause birth defects in the baby. This is why the doctor will give a pregnancy test before giving the shot. There are also many side effects of getting the shot including depression, nausea, irregular periods, and more.

    Hope this helps.

Good luck.Need Advice- Is it really true that when you get the depo shot its harder to get pregnant?
    Not really.

Here is my experience: I had a doctors appointment to receive my 3 depo shot, but 3 days before going to get it my baby kicked my. I was 5 months pregnant. I had gotten pregnant while on the depo shot. It was in between my 1 and 2nd shot I got pregnant, they told me.
Depo is a very strange thing....how it works depends on how your body handles it. There is probably a different effect on every single woman out there that takes this shot. I work for OB docs and it is effective but they prefer the ole fashion pill....it's known to be more effective (more people have gotten pregnant using the shot, patch, implant, IUD, etc. than the pill). But you could be one of those people who take it and it work great, but it's kind of a gambling game with Depo, either it works good or not.
ok let me tell you, i stopped taking the depo shot over a year ago and still havent had a peroid or have been able to concieve! that shot is a nighmare!!!!
The depo shot is a funny thing. I was on the shot for a few years and met my now husband. I had decided to switch birth control. The doctor told me not to worry that I would be ok, since the shot would stop my cycle for a few months. Needless to say, I was pregnant within 3 weeks.

It really depends on the person, how long and how thier body deals with depo.

But be mindful of depo, it had a lot of side effects that are not fun. I would look them up and try a different birth control.
Ummmmmm..since the depo shot is birth control... I surely hope it makes it harder to get pregnant.
the point of the depo shot is to prevent pregnancies.

Coming off the shot does take longer for your hormones to regulate so you can easly get pregnant again. But its by no means a form of sterilization.
Huh? Isn't the depo shot a birth control shot? So a lot of women are sure hoping its harder to get pregnant after having it.
well depo is actually a new anti conception drug or rather relatively new.all these have side effects which have not yet been probably fully found out.its always better 2 go 4 something which has been around for a long time something which does not interfere with ur body's hormones.whenever u go for something like this its better 2 read completely bout it.good luck.
Depo elimainates your body's ability to create the lining of your uterus, which is, of course, what is released when you have your monthly cycle. So, typically, you have no period %26amp; less of a chance of getting pg. Although, you should also know that no method is 100% effective for preventing pregnancy. I had a decent experience with Depo, however, when I got off of it, I had a period that lasted about 2-3 weeks %26amp; gained weight. Also, it took almost 4 years to concieve after discontinuing Depo. Good Luck! Hope that helped a little.
Depend onhow long you have been on it like any hormonal birth control that may have resedual hormones for months and even up to a year depending on how long youve been on it. Personaly any of those hormonal birth controls deliver way to many hormones that the body dosent need like th pill that lets you have 4 periods a year! One study showed that with that pill if used for 10 years can deliver as much hormones that a woman who has never been on birth control for 72 years! (and thats additional)

The IUD deliveres minimal if NO hormones (depending on the one you choose)

The pill also delivers very lil hormones that wont affect you as much )but also depends on how long youve been on it)
I hope so, as I took it as a contaception for 3 years!

If you mean is it harder after you come off it than if you had never taken it, then the answer is they claim it has no affect. I have fertility issues but as far as I know, not related to the depo.
I know someone that had taken depo shots and got pregnant.
    ask your dr.
I was on the depo shot for two years. I was told by my Dr. that If I wanted to get pregnant It may take a while after I got off. It all depends on your body type.

I want to start an advice column on the web. Is this a good name for it?

You know ';Ask Destiny'; sounds kinda cheesy.

You should try '; Ask Me';, ';Small Advice For Big Questions'; or ';Murphy's Advice';( the last one may be under copyright from the murphy's laws but i'm not sure.I want to start an advice column on the web. Is this a good name for it?

Best publishers for a short story? Any advice would be welcome?

the best bet is to get a literary agent to represent you - most publishers do not accept work direct from the author

Can anyone help me with advice for my 18yr old daughter who is desperate to become a model?

She already has had a portfolio done which cost 拢500. She has gone to another agency who said the first portfolio was rubbish and she needed one of theirs at another 拢300. Any advice gratefully received. Can anyone help me with advice for my 18yr old daughter who is desperate to become a model?
On Americas Top Model it says they are scamming you if they make you pay. I think you need to switch agencys quick before your in debt. But never stop your daughters dreams. Can anyone help me with advice for my 18yr old daughter who is desperate to become a model?
My daughter does do modeling. One thing I learned through out her expierence in modeling was that most agencys want you to get a portfolio done by them, so they can make more money off you! One or Two portfolios should be enough....If an agency isn't happy with the portfolios you have, then move on to another agency....There are numerous agencies out there to try! Just be patient! If your daughter hasn't took an etiquette class for girls, then I highly recomend that also! That seems to help when you go to agencys or talent scouts! If you keep getting new portfolios done, when you go to different agencys, you will end up ';blowing'; alot of money!!!!
What does your daughter think of her currant portfolio? If she is pleased with it then there will be no need to get another one. I know a lot of agencies are taking advantage of the amount of girls that want to be models. So many of them will never get jobs which means that the agency will never get paid for any jobs that the model aren't doing.

I know Storm, a London agency have lots of models on their books but all the pictures are generally the same so what would make your daughter stand out from all the other girls photos?

You need to find an agency that believes in your daughters potential, they shouldn't ask for any money that way they will push their models to get more jobs because otherwise they won't get their cut. I was with Vanity a London agent who were great.

In the meantime your daughter needs to have another job because if she can't get any jobs she will have nothing to fall back on.

Ask for an agencies real opinion if your daughter can be a model and remember that being pretty is not enough to be a serious model.
STOP PAYING FOR PORTFOLIOS!!! Any legitimate agency wanting your daughter as a model will NOT charge for pictures. All she needs are some simple well lit pics with minimal makeup - one head shot, one full body and one head-shoulders shot. Thats it!!

Look up reputable agencies online like Ford, IMG, Elite, and they often have tips about what to do, and how to arrange meetings.

Remember there are tons of people out there prepared to deceive people in order to cash in on thier dreams. Good luck and be careful!!
Get a good agent, and check him and the agency out... A lot of them, just want to milk $ out of you, and nothing happenes but u being poorer. Check out a well know agent and Good luck...
Go round a few agencys before you get another portfolio done......

My neice did a lot of work as well to become a model even topless shots, she was even considering nude shots as she was desperate to be a model but a good agency told her she would not make it and people are only out to make money from her......

So she needs to sit down and really think about this,,,,,have a back up plan if it comes crashing down.........

But good luck to her if she gets through....
They have modeling shows all over the world I'm not sure where you live but they have Britain's next top model Australia's next top model and Americas next top model. u have to be at least 18 to try out. so encourage her to do that. even if she doesn't win most of the people who are on the show get jobs anyway.
i would have her try out america next top model its a great way to get exposer. and a free porfolio.
I had a similar experience with a modeling agency that I heard about on the radio and well my mom and I checked it out on Better Business Bureau before we shelled out 500 dollars for the shoot and then another couple of hundred for the many comp cards made. it turned out to be a scam. I got my card and my photos but never any work. I waited a year before I realized this and then found a local photographer through a girl I knew that also did the photo shoot that had contacts with Lancome. I went to meet with her and well she said they were awful, my whole look was awful and she was willing to help me for another 400 dollars. Not to mention the cost to redo the comp cards. There are many modeling schools out there that promise work and an agency, and they are truly scams. If you have talent then you don't need this. i would recommend finding a local photographer and do time for shots, which is when you wear your own clothes control your own hair and makeup and wardrobe and he does a photo shoot to build his/her portfolio. I've had many offerings from these kind of photographers in my city. that is probably your best bet. And then when you get these photos sent them with your stats to modeling agencies, it's best to do this in person but if you can't mail them and call them in a week to follow-up. This is crucial. If her look is what they are looking for then she will be in. But I would try to make as many photographer contacts as you can and if you decide to pay again for a photographer make sure it's one with contacts and a great portfolio. Best of Luck to her!
yes, she should get a real job where a brain is required.
well since she's 18, legal age to do her own thing, you should tell her the the truth about money. It doesn't grow on trees. question: do you mind spending a bunch of money on these profolios?? has she ever even had a modeling job before?? idk. the best thing to do is be honest with her.

tell her she needs to get on board %26amp;%26amp; try to audition for americas next top model or sum modeling show over there in europe.
Is she borderline anorexic? Because from what I see these days, that's what the idiots in the fashion industry want, despite every known survey showing that the public prefer women with curves.
    get an agint

Or what was something people kept saying that you prayed you would never hear again? When you were pregnant what advice did people give that drove you nuts?
    1. ';WOW, you're so big!!'; (Gee thanks, there IS an actual person in there...)

    2. ';Well, pretty soon your days of fun are over, ha ha!!'; (Nice thing to say. Pardon me for looking forward to meeting my CHILD!!!)

    3. When they'd make faces after hearing the names we liked. (It's not YOUR kid, back OFF!)

    4. Telling me I can't eat sushi or soft cheeses, GOD. (What the heck do you think women in Japan do?? That's right, they eat sushi, but cut out the high mercury fish, duhhhhhhhh. As for the cheeses, most of the ones I saw in the stores were pasteurized, so lay off!!!! ARGH, I'm not an idiot!)

Okay, I'm done. Thanks for letting us mommies vent! :)When you were pregnant what advice did people give that drove you nuts?
    oh my GOD.

    everything drove me nuts.

the worst was when people said, ';sleep now! while you can!'; that made me violent.

i told my best friend that i was tired of answering questions from strangers when i was pregnant (i was very sick the whole time, and, as a result, pretty impatient.) she got me a shirt for my shower with the following silkscreen:

    (the front) ';june 2. it's a girl. yes, my first.';

    (the back) ';now f%26amp;*% off!';

    awesome.
I got soooo sick of people telling me how tired I would be when the baby was born. EVERYONE at work who had kides would comment ';Get lots of sleep now because you wont be getting any when the baby is born'; and I was like ';I know! ive been told that 3 times already today I dont need to hear it again'; even if I just looked tired at work someone would say ';you dont know what tired is yet'; drove me nuts
I agree that I got tired of hearing get plenty of sleep now cause you won't get any in a few months. What was worse though was when people would touch my belly without asking! Just wait until the baby is born though, everyone will have advice for you! I had complete strangers coming up to at restaurants asking to see the baby then give me ';helpful'; advice.
I hate the way people keep telling me I look huge... gee, thanks, maybe it's cause I'm 31 weeks pregnant!

Or asking me if I'm having twins... nope, just one. I'm short so my belly sticks straight out.

I love the idea of the t-shirt that the one poster was given. I've been so sick this whole time I have no patience and it would be so convenient to have something like that...

Also HATE people touching my belly without my permission. It's not like I'm going to let them touch my newborn, why do you think you can touch my belly?!?!
i just hated people at work every freakin day it seemed like..... how are you feeling?..umm pregnant, how do i look? im freaking huge, i can barely walk and i cant put my shoes on! what are you having? same as yesterday...a boy! how much longer? the questions were endless. i really loved when i was at party city buying decorations for my shower, i had ALL blue baby boy decorations and the cashier asks...what are you having? i wanted to smack her. i was very moody...lol oh and i also hated..... OMG you are getting soooooo big!!!!!
The most annoying one was... Wow! You look like your ready to pop! When are you due?... Mind you I was only like 4 and a half months! I was having twins! Oh having to explain that I was only about halfway! After having to make a quick question into something that took forever... I just started saying soon... even if it was 5 months away! That was horrible... Oh and their faces when I told them! Priceless.
Morning sickness means I am having a girl; the baby has plenty of time to turn.

It didn't drive me nuts to hear anything, I just didn't pay attention to any of em.
sleep now, because you won't be getting any for a while

    go home and rest

do you have a name already

how many months are you along

    PEOPLE...mind your own bisinuess
Lots of morning sickness is a girl, little to none is a boy. Every pregnancy is different and mine will never mirror anyone else and vise verse.
I got more tired of all the questions.... How far along are you? Is this your first? Do you know what you're having? Any names picked out? How do you feel? Are you going to breast feed?
sleep now because you wont be getting any for a while.

it is funner getting into than getting out...not really not for me i had IUI so it wasnt fun getting into either lol
LOL... go see this question I posted for my answer!!

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>

I am a high school student who wants to become an architect. Any advice or project ideas for my portfolio? ?

I go to a small school that doesn't offer any shop or drafting classes. I do sketches and sometimes paint things but I'd like something a bit more... architectural.

Do you have an suggestions for projects that could challenge me or that require creative thinking? or ANY portfolio advice.

And if you had to submit a portfolio, or took an art class, what were some of your favorite projects?I am a high school student who wants to become an architect. Any advice or project ideas for my portfolio? ?
Don't worry about drafting or CAD, those are skills that you will be able to learn in college. Your portfolio should be more based on your creativity.

Most people don't realize that there is a huge art component to architecture school. If your portfolio is heavy on sketching and painting, that probably isn't a bad thing. If you haven't already, go out and start sketching buildings. If there aren't any interesting buildings where you live, go to the library and take out some good architectural books and sketch from the photos (no tracing!).

If you want to get some computer design in, go download SketchUp and try building models, start with your own house.

I didn't have to submit a portfolio from high school to get into architecture school. When I was in high school, I thought taking drafting classes would be important, which is what I did. However, if I were to do it all over again, I would have taken more art classes and less technical classes.

Creativity is something that needs to be cultivated while the technical things can be learned.

Good luck.I am a high school student who wants to become an architect. Any advice or project ideas for my portfolio? ?
try to take a computer aided drafting class at a local technical or vocational school at night and use some of your work for your portfolio

Why are certain police officers on this site so bolshie when people ask advice?

If they behave like arrogant morons on here what are they like on the streets?. People ask advice and are treated as imbeciles. If they can't be bothered to answer politely then what are they doing on this site?.Why are certain police officers on this site so bolshie when people ask advice?
Perhaps they have had a bad day, but I agree they could be a bit more tolerant as not everybody is able to put into words what they really want to say.Why are certain police officers on this site so bolshie when people ask advice?
Its not about being arrogant. Some people prefer to be spoken to in a way that is easy to understand , without the fear of being patronised.

Unfortunately some idiots on here think that we should talk the talk all the time, never going to happen. Everyone can expect a blunt and to the point answer from myself and that's what i usually do and possibly the reason why i am third in the all time top answers for this category.

Don't slag some of us off just because we say what we see, some people prefer us to be that way.
How do you know they're police officers? And in terms of politeness, the guys who are cops on here receive way more crap even on here than the others.
The police used to be there to protect and serve the public whilst treating us as innocent until proven guilty.

Now the police are trained to view us all as a potential threat/enemy and their main purpose is to control us.

    tragic.
Maybe it is because the persons asking the question are trying to absolve themselves from their crimes they committed? They then see the answer as being too blunt.

Police are NOT Social workers and that is how it should be.
Don't assume that they actually are police officers. There are a lot of idiots on here with ideas of grandeur.
I have noticed this recently and it seems to apply to one officer in particular. No wonder the public have no respect for them.
Those who do this are not Police officers. Whatever you are told by morons always check for the validity. That goes for non moron answers too.
They think they are superior to us mere mortals, sorry chaps we pay your wages not the other way around. Have a bit of courtesy.
Maybe they aren't police officers! Just wannabe's.
on the streets most police got a bad attitude towards you .
What do you expect, they are useless.

What are some pieces of advice you would give someone in order to live a happy and fulfilling life?

What I think is that, no one is ever truly happy or content with life, and everyone always has some kind of problem.

so the only advice i could give you, would be to live your life the way you want to, and don't hold back on anything. if you want to go skydiving, get on a plane, grab a parachute and jump. if you want to ask someone out that your friends dont like, call him right now and ask him out. live your life like it was your last, and take the jump, is all i can tell you.

PS i know that sounded a little corny, but it is SO true.

    Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably.

well the more you work on yourself to become a better person the more likely you will succeed in a relationship, or at least not be the weak link
together time is important, but alone time is too. (by this i mean u both only need one shadow lol )
trust is key in realationship, if you dont have trust you cant have love.
if you don't have trust you have nothing
    Be yourself.
make up before going to sleep even if shes stubborn. try
Don't rush it. You only get to be young once; young love seldom works out.

I have a list of important things:

    1. Don't let it get too far

    2. Don't obsess

    3. Show that you care about eachother
Never forget that they're their own person and not ';your'; anything to shape and control.

    Learn from your mistakes.
Dont Let Somebody Else Ask For You. It WILL Fail.
dont worry about what might happen just worry about whats happening right now
Here is what I would say:

Be honest at all time also if it may hurt sometimes. Don't swollow it but talk it out. Always talk about everything. And while doing this keep in one rule:

Never ever go to bed without resolving all your upsets with your partner first. This is a golden rule.

In addition continusly create and the love will simply increase.

I'm 25, married since 3 1/2 years, have never cheated on my wife, would never cheat, few days ago my son was born and I'm happy with my live. I think you can trust my word. Try it out.

    TRUST
Be yourself in the beginning - That way the other party will know what they have to deal with in the beginning and do what they think is best. It saves time and aids with disappointments.
    Live and Let Live
always feel you can trust your partner
if you can't love yourself it's best not try to love someone else.

I never really had any good advice to be honest. I got a lot of you need to rest because when your baby comes you won't have time to rest. Which was bull-I get more sleep now then I ever did when I was pregnant with my first. When you're in your third trimester sleep is non-existent. Some advice I can give you though is, don't listen to other peoples advice. Follow your gut and do what you feel is right for you and your baby. To prevent inappropriate material, to easily identify students for safety issues, to prevent provocative styles and sexual harassment.

You just really need to think about it.
It also reduces class distinction by disallowing competitiveness at having the latest and hottest brands and fashions. That a good majority of parents can ill afford.

I have a terrace house freehold property in Singapore is it the right time to sell or wait for the price to go up some more.I am planning to sell my property is it the right time to sell please advice?
    it depends.

while generally prices have been falling, your property is freehold and if you are not in need of the liquidity, it would perhaps be more advantageous for u to hold on to it for the moment, at least until 2009.

    you may want to refer to the URA website for various indices and statistics that shows property prices at URL below;

Im going to be a Geisha for halloween.... any advice?

anyone ever done this costume before that can give me hair and makeup tips.... any advice would be helpfulIm going to be a Geisha for halloween.... any advice?
first u should watch the movie memoirs of a geisha, that can help you with ideas.

your hair should be put up in a bun of some sort, maybe some curls, get a dangly flower pin to put in it

your face will be white, you can buy white face ';paint'; at almost any sotre, try party city.

make your lips red but mostly red in the middle

for the kimono make it patterned and silky looking, long sleaves and wraped tight around the waist, mabe get a little book bag pack for your back, and a tiny umbrella for added effectIm going to be a Geisha for halloween.... any advice?
The make-up is kind of instense if you're planning on doing it like an actual geisha. My boyfriend's sister models as one often and the make-up is more like paint. Extremely white cover up, if not white face paint, and red lips with black eyeliner. Here's a pic:

    http://thumbs2.modthesims2.com/images8/M鈥?/a>

If you don't want to do the whole thing, skip the white facepaint and do extremely red lips and black eyeliner.

For hair, do a bun that you can just barely see peak above your head when you look in a mirror. In there, add some decorated chopsticks or lilies into the bun. Make sure the hair near the face line is extremely smooth and the bun tight.
Good Luck thats a hard look to pull off. But Im sure youll be beautiful!
Well, I've never done it before, but I can give you some advice.

Japanese hair is very very straight, and black, so you might want to get a wig for this costume. However, if not, here are some hairstyles you can try depending on what type of geisha you'd like to be:

This is a link relating to different Maiko (apprentice geisha) hairstyles depending on how high you have trained as a geisha - http://www.immortalgeisha.com/hairstyles鈥?/a>

The most popular hairstyle you see in geisha costumes is high up with a ';bun'; in the back.

As for makeup, it is also different depending on your status. However, most use very very pale, nearly white painted face, with very subtle blush, eyes lined in red and black, and bright red lips - http://www.immortalgeisha.com/images/hp_鈥?/a>

The best way to learn how to do hair, makeup or a costume is to research the real thing.

  • Need your advice!!! according to my age, how old should be the males i talk to online???

i'm an 18 year old female.what ages would be appropriate for me to talk to? and, how much older is too old for my age?Need your advice!!! according to my age, how old should be the males i talk to online???
Since you are of legal age it is really up to you. What age guys do you like? Whatever you do be VERY careful about meeting guys online. It can be very dangerous. Never meet some guy alone or in a secluded place. Get a pic of the guy when you meet and make sure you have a correct home phone number before you meet and again - ONLY if you have a friend or more with you.Need your advice!!! according to my age, how old should be the males i talk to online???
    it doesnt matter.

    at all.
    16-20 i would say.
That's something that only you acn decide.
If you are really 18, it doesn't matter.

If you are not 18 you need to discuss it with your parents

and together decide an appropriate limit.
    Id say 18-35
that's really up to you to decide.. no one's gonna stop you from talking to men who are much older than you. but i would try not to go past 30 or so. it'll probably start to get awkward...
Just depends if all you want to do is talk and get advice from older guys the age limit is what you make of it. But for anything else it's all up to you. Because people can only give you advice and it's up to you to chose from it.
as long as hes not to old like 30 then that would be great but i think guys around 18-24 wud be better!
There are so many freak's .... you should be like 30 and still have a friend at all time's .... and let someone know when your talking to someone .... alway's get info on them so when and if something' happen's to you forensic's can find some info
18-25 probably but don't meet them in real life cause they might not be what they say they are.
youre an adult, choose your bounderies. if you dont feel like you should be talking to a 35 year old man, then dont.
Since your avg. 18 year old male is less mature than your avg. 18 your old female, I wouldn't reccomend anyone 18 or 19. I guess from 20 to 25 should be a good age bracket.
    Dear ';fallen_ang01:

Since you are 18, you are old enough to make your own descions on an issue such as this. I'm sure you're aware that there are a lot of perverts that roam the land of the internet, but if you are talking to a person that you like, my advice is, talk to them for a while before you put yourself in too deep. Feel out the vibe you get from them by what they say to you; and always trust your gut! It won't steer you wrong.

As far as the age limit on the guys? I would stay in the 20-23 range. Make sense?
I would say 18-25. Anyone younger than you would be illegal, and too old is just nasty, but I think about 25 is a good age for you. But also remember, please be safe online! It makes me sad to hear about people with the crazy guys who get the gilrs.... But I think 25 would be good!

    Good luck!
What the heck , get off of talking to guys you DO NOT know seriously what is wrong with you, a predator(people who pretend they're age) can find out evry thing about you and you could be kidnapped or something so stay off of talking to them unless ofcourse you know them then thats a whole other story but, they should be between you're age and 2 years older which would be 20 so they're you go.

My friend is thinking about taking magic mushrooms but is very afraid of vomiting? Any advice?

Food to eat before, during, and after, thoughts to keep him calm, or any advice at all would be greatly appreciated! My friend is thinking about taking magic mushrooms but is very afraid of vomiting? Any advice?
I usually find that taking the mushrooms with food seems to increase my nausea. The best way that I have found is to grind them up into a powder, put a big fingerfull in your mouth and wash it straight down with orange juice. You barely even taste the mushrooms because you don't have to even bite down, and the orange juice masks the taste very well. I experience almost no nausea doing this. Also I usually find it's best to do them with not very much food in your stomach, and don't have eaten recently before you dose the mushrooms.

As for thoughts to keep him calm, try to put yourself in the mindset that hopefully you won't puke, but there's a chance you might and there's really nothing you can do to control it in the end, so just don't bother yourself worrying about it. Also keep in mind that people generally feel much better after vomiting, so that will be the end of their bad feelings if it does happen. Another thing that may reduce some stress is to leave an empty trashcan nearby if you are tripping inside, so you don't have the stress of worrying about vomiting on something, just try to make the environment as comfortable as possible to reduce stressMy friend is thinking about taking magic mushrooms but is very afraid of vomiting? Any advice?
don't do shrooms, try alternative methods.

i personally enjoy rivea corymbosa seeds as they are legal and inexpensive

as for the puking, its impossible tosurpasss unless your body just accepts the toxins.

and for the environment, keep it calm, no loud noises or bright lights.

    =)

(email me for more info on psychedelics)
well its normal to vomit and no big deal. when i tried it a few times we put the mushrooms on pizza and ate it like that and wash it down with some soda. puking is gonna happen but after that just go with the flow and enjoy the trip..lol
Ok well if he wants to stop the vommiting he should eat it with some orange juice. If he gets nervous have him take a couple benzos like klonopin. This will help with an anxious trip for sure.
What advice is there other than don't take drugs?
    Don't!
just dont do it on a full stomach. i don't know anyone who has puked anyway

I think that trinny and sue are a couple of scrawny mares who abuse others whilst dressing in grim clothes.

re the bra thing - have a proper fitting done - you will be gobsmacked at what size yu actually are - then buy some new bras in the right size from a good underwear shop. What do you think of Susanna %26amp; Trinny advice that they have been giving woman? Do they really work?
Try somewere like marks and spenser they give you a free fitting... and if you have a nice woman they usually tend to advice you on the right bra that will give you support and stuff...with trinny n susanna they give SOME good advice and somtimes really bad advice... but they really should take their own adivice sometimes cos come on you cant wear clothes that some woman told you to wear if they look terrible in what they are wearing aswel!
GO to somewhere that offers a fitting service. So you know your right size. La senza has a great range.
come with me love,I will get you looking just fine !
I don't think Trinny and Susannah will help you with this one.

What are the best health tips and advice for pregnant women in the first month of pregnancy and beyond.?

my lovely wife is pregnant and I want to ensure she's in the best possible condition for her and the baby, i know folic acid is important, are there any other supiments worth considering? What are the best health tips and advice for pregnant women in the first month of pregnancy and beyond.?
So long as she takes her prenatal vitamins and eats healthy she will be fine. It is just as hard on the husbands during the first trimester as it is the wives. She will be going through so many physical and emotional changes that sometimes you will wonder if she is still the same woman you married. But fear not. Just make sure that you are there for her and are supportive of her no matter what and you two will be just fine. Pregnancy can be a wonderful time that you will always treasure or a horrible time that you hope and pray will never happen again. It all depends on how you perceive it. You sound like a loving husband and she is a very lucky woman. No matter how tough things get just remember this is hers and your chance to assist God in a miracle. Congratulations, and good luck!!!!What are the best health tips and advice for pregnant women in the first month of pregnancy and beyond.?
diet care is most imp in first trimester it should be rich in proteins iorn and vitamins. give her lot of vegitables and fruits to eat. She can do routine household activities but dont have active exercise. Most imp keep in touch with ur doctor regularly and get all ur investigation done. Be sure that she is not anaemic ( most commen %26amp; serious medical problem during pregnancy).

If she get any per vaginal discharge ( whittish/ blood stained) report immidiatly to doctor. Bloody discharge in 1st trimisterster is a sign of beginning of spontanious abortion which can be stoped if treated immediatly. White discharge with or without itching is a sign of infection. Give her complet bed rest in 2nd %26amp; 3rd trimister. You can have sexual intercourse with ur wife occaisionally in first 3mthssometimes but try to avoit it from 5th mth, but never in last 3mth of pregnancy.Take care that she does not became ill during her pregnancy.
Take your pre-natal vitamins and exercise.
Do not Vacuum cause of the side to side moving of the belly. I know every woman is different but just as a caution. Take iron pills if you are low in iron. Congratulations...

    Rush-Something For Nothing

You ask the best questions Gorgon, kudos. What are your favorite pieces of lyrical advice?
I love the ones that call attention to how temporary and ever-changing the world is... The ones that remind me that every day is precious.

    Time ~ Pink Floyd

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day

You fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way

Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town

Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain

You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today

And then the one day you find ten years have got behind you

No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking

And racing around to come up behind you again

The sun is the same in the relative way, but you're older

And shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time

Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines

Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way

The time is gone the song is over, thought I'd something more to say
I like uneven metre, like --

    Citizens of Hope %26amp; Glory, ( 2 measures )

    Time goes by, ( 1 measure )

it's the time of your ';life'; .. ( 1 measure, with ';life'; starting the 5th )

-- or the way that Genesis would maintain a tempo -- but stay constant with some of the lyrics, yet speed-up others to make to the end of each phrase, on time. - Example --

music is ';jig'; tempo -- ba-bop-ba-bop-ba-bop-ba-bop (accent on the ';bop';)

I'll give you the names of those you must kill, ( fast )

    All must die with their ( fast ) chil-dren. ( slow )

Carry their heads to the palace of old, ( fast )

Hang them high, let the ( fast ) blood flow ( slower )

    Now ! ( short pause )

I'll give you the names of those you must kill ( fast )

    Then have all ( fast ) burned and quick-ly ( slower )

Cover them up in Trafalgar Square ( fast )

Hurry to see, you'll ( fast ) see them dead ( slower )

Each (slower) is on the beat, but still using the same syncopation to complete each equivalent measure, per line of lyrics.

Did I make any sense ?? LOL

    .
You know you're right, breathing is good advice! XD

    Hmm,

'Music, is your, only friend, until the end' [When The Music's Over - The Doors]

Oh yeah, how could I forget, the most important life advice of all!

'Don't you eat that yellow snow!' [Don't Eat The Yellow Snow - Frank Zappa]
Funny, the first thing that popped into my mind was Pink Floyd as well.

    ';...and did we tell ya the name of the game, boy? They call it ridin' the Gravy Train.';

Just like advice, if we tell you how it works, you'll never learn the lesson for yourself.

What is your best advice for avoiding violations?

I really want to keep this account and build up my points. I had like 7 accounts that got deleted! What is your best advice for avoiding violations?
Just stay away from questions that simply ask people's personal opinion. Those can sometimes be ok, but most of the time they are chat. Stick with questions that only ask for facts, figures, and data like a teacher might ask in school. You can ask for example Paris Hilton's age, but you can't ask what people thought of her dress.

My take on chatting is that chatting is asking questions that can only be answered with personal opinion and to which only you and the answerer will give a hoot. You can tell most of these by the presence of pronouns (I,we,you,me,us) or pronoun adjectives (your, mine, ours). If these are present your question will be chat 90% of the time and if you can not rewrite the question without them, it is chat 99% of the time.

People have different takes on violations, but I hope you will reread the community guidelines for other types of questions that are not allowed and specifically spelled out such as Fill in the Blank questions (link at the bottom of the page). What is your best advice for avoiding violations?
well it sounds like you've walked in those mocassins. Seriously I don't think any of us know Specific ';Not violations.'; The rules are vague and what seems to get by today might get zapped tomorrow.

What is the best seasoning/sauce to put on vegetables? My family is having their first barbeque, but we need some advice-fast! Click for more info?
It depends, which veggies are you making and are you planning on grilling them???

If it is a mixture of veggies made in the house, cooked - then butter and a pinch of salt and pepper.

If they are raw veggies then serve with a nice dip - I like dill dip.

If you are planning to grill your veggies then you can use a marinade of olive oil, a dash of vinegar and some Nature's Seasoning. My mom uses Italian Dressing but I don't like to take away from the nature flavor of the veggies so I don't use it.

I hope you have a great BBQ!!!

Garlic, oil, lemon juice, pepper and salt mixed together is really good.
butter, salt, %26amp; garlic, maybe some lemon, too.
    two words: RANCH DRESSING
i LIKE SEASONED SALT ON BROCOLI ! yOU CANT GO WRONG WITH RANCH
Mrs. Dash has a variety of seasonings - they're great. I especially like the tomoto, garlic, basil - I use it all of the time.

    Have fun!
try some italian dressing if you are grilling them. Or just some olive oil salt and pepper....if it's just some raw veggies, ranch dip works fine.....

What if the person causing trouble fro the rest of the team is a self-styled leader ? Is this good advice ?

';You must have heard the old saying, it only takes one rotten apple to spoil the barrel full.

If you have someone causing trouble for the rest of your team, get them out, it will be the best in the long run. Hello:

Sure, getting rid of a derisive element can be helpful, however there may also be a reason of greater import that could be the reason for their being there.

    I hope this helps

    Rev Phil

I am getting a Parakeet today. Can you give me some advice?

What are some things I need to know? What if I get two? What are some tips, advice, anything. I'm trying to get the feel from other Parakeet owners. :-) Websites would be fine too!I am getting a Parakeet today. Can you give me some advice?
I'm glad that you're gonna give a lil budgie a new home. I hope a bit of this helps.

I first bought 2 parakeets, in pursuit of wanting to handtame them, while knowing that when I'm gone, they will have company around. It did not work out, because its really hard to handtame 2 parakeets, but it can be done. Also, I had one parakeet that was really unfriendly, the other was okay, but i guess was influenced by the other one's fear of humans. I eventually returned these two, and i exchanged it for just one. I loved this one, and I was able to handtame him pretty fast. After a month of bonding with him, i decided to get him a friend. lucky for me, this parakeet was friendly and curious, so when she saw my first one (Sage) perch on my finger, she followed along, so i didn't have to go through the handtaming process again. although, some parakeets actually will refuse to perch on their owner's finger once they have a friend. i'm glad that Sage isn't that way.

    here are some tips:

--If you have 2, it will be really hard to handtame, but it can be done. also, they will bond more with each other than you. Even after bonding with him for a month, Sage loved being with Kairi (my second one) after a day of getting to know her, and was closer to her than he was to me. However, they are always happier when they have a friend around.

--Your bird may be a little uncomfortable on the first day, so don't be shocked if he doesn't move/eat when its in its cage. My Sage just sat at the same spot for the whole day. My advice is to put a cloth over the cage at night, and after a while, you'll hear that its starting to eat, or if you peek inside, it will have moved positions. (Sage and Kairi both did this)

--Don't open the cage door, unless your parakeet is already comfortable with you.

--Depending on the parakeet's character/personality, not all parakeets play with every bird toy its given. Don't waste too much money on expensive toys. From surveying, a mirror, perch, and bird playground are usually the universal toy love of most parakeets. Don't get toys yet until you're sure of what your bird likes. I made this mistake, and I have a few unwanted bird toys in the house.

--Something good you could do for your parakeet to get to know you is try just filling his food bowl with a lil bit of food each time, so you can change it more times in a day (if you're home a lot). The parakeet will then associate your hand with the feeding, and it will also make it more comfortable around you.

--the way you treat your parakeet when you're attempting to tame it is very important. I highly recommend the method of if it moves away when you're attempting to pet it/make it perch on your hand or even sticking your hand in the cage, immediately remove your hand from the cage and try again, then try again in a few minutes. This will teach your parakeet that you're not a predator, and also if he's uncomfortable with something, he will just simply move to one side, rather than fly around the cage, run franticly, or even bite.

--water bowl needs to be changed daily, and cleaned often. i recommend putting only a daily sufficient amount of food, and cleaning the food bowl every day.

--don't give an all seed diet, as that's not good for the parakeet. put in carrots, broccoli, apples, (you can google up the rest of the good-for-parakeet fruits+vegetables, these are just the ones that I usually use) also. a specialist recommended me to do 50% seed, 50% fruit/vegetable.

--if you have handtamed your parakeet, and it is willing to come out of the cage, remember not to take him out for more than 30 minutes. after getting to know you more, it might be okay to take him away from the cage for more than 30. I did this mistake with Sage, and he began hating coming out of his cage, until someone pointed out my mistake. After doing the 30 minute limit thing, he felt more comfortable leaving his cage. Now that I've had him for a month, he's comfortable leaving his cage longer than 30 minutes.

--if you are going to stay in the same room where you put his cage, tie the door open, so your parakeet knows that it will always have access back into the cage.

if there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to contact me. being a new parakeet owner isn't something that's easy, and I understand the fears and excitement of being one. I'm glad that you're giving a budgie a new home :). they are lovely pets.I am getting a Parakeet today. Can you give me some advice?
Well, always feed your parrots and take them a bath every 3 to 5 days. Never leave them unfed. They will drive you nuts! They are usually quiet birds. Good breeding!
there a lot of fun if you only have one then get him or her a lot of toys to play with so you can stop him from being lonley and make sure to hand train it so you dont get biitten and you can hugg it
Parkeets are great beginner pets, welcome to the group! When you go to the petstore, they are not as knowlegable(most of the time). Parakeets need a larger cage than most people think(as large as possible).

If you purchase two they will bond to each other and not you. If you are going to play, train, etc, then get one. If you are leaving it in the cage most of the time get two.

Pet stores usually have their bird on a seed diet. A seed only diet is unhealthy. You may want ot change to pellets if you are not going to feed fruits are veggies, seed AND pellets. A 1/3 of each is recommeded. If your budgie is picky and wont eat the veggies than switch to pellet only. The package will tell you how to convert. Mine switched over in a few weeks. You also need vitamins for the water.

You will want a young bird. Parakeets that are young have lines that go from the nape of thier neck to the cere(fleshy art above beak).

When you get the bird home, put it in the cage and leave it fr a few days. You don't want to stress it out. You will have 12-15 years to bond. Watch to be sure it is eating and drinking.

A vet check is recommended, sometimes bird carry parasites. It's good to know a good vet in the area, incase of an emergency.

Birds need a lot of toys, buy at least 10, as they should be rotated about once a week to prevent boredom.

The bird should be in an active part of the house, and should covered at night. Birds will not sleep if there is any sound and complete darkness will help them relax.

Change water 3-4 times a day. Bird like to bathe, poop, etc in the water and bacteria grows.

In the mornng mist your bird with water(never at nght before the sleep), as they need adiquate time to dry. This will keep the feathers shiny and healthy and encourage preening.
Congrats! Parakeets are fine on their own but if you buy two they will be much happier! ( Pst! Make sure they're the same gender, or else you'll have a lot more parakeets than you bargained for!) Make sure they have plenty of seed and fresh water. And if you have a cat, watch them very closely, my cats have knocked the cage off the table so many times! Happy keet hunting! :)
Here is a suggestion. Before getting any animal perhaps it would be far better to read up on how to care for the animal before you actually go out and get one.To many times people get an animal only to get it home and have no idea how to care for it.Educate yourself before you acquire the animal. You may decide before hand that the animal you are wanting to get is going to require more then you are capable of giving.

I'm 22 and on vacation. My fiance said that we should each get something to remember the trip by. We are going to a professional piercer, then a tattoo shop. My fiance convinced me to get a vertical clit hood piercing. Tom (my fiance) is getting a tattoo. I don't know much about clit hood piercings, except that they are supposed to give you more pleasure during sex.I am about to get a vertical clitoris hood piercing, any advice?
They also kill your nerve endings reducing the amount of sensation you will feel over time. Get your labia done instead.I am about to get a vertical clitoris hood piercing, any advice?
Vacation is NOT the time to get a new genital piercing. You'll be far away from the person who performed your piercing while you are healing and won't be able to go back if you have a problem. You should not be swimming in pools, the ocean, or hot tubbing right after a new piercing. You will also need to wait a few weeks before oral sex with your new piercing and be very careful to protect it from getting snagged or tugged durring any other activities.

For that matter vacation is not a particularly good time to get a tattoo either if you are going to be physically active (like skiing or hiking) or someplace like the beach.

Properly done vertical hood piercings should NOT affect your sensation. Your piercer should be carefully checking the area for nerves and blood vessels before you are pierced. It is possible that you could have nerves in the way of your piercing and you may have to get a different piercing instead.

Clitoral hood piercings do not neccessarily enhance sex. Some ladies get an increase in stimulation from the jewelry, while others don't. So if you are only getting the piercing for sex, then I suggest you get a good vibrator instead to play with. Regardless of sensation you will have a pretty new piercing that's fun to look at, so if that's enough for you then get pierced. Of the ladies I know who have hood piercings, about half or fewer really notice the piercings having any affect on their sex lives.

There are several websites with good information on clitoral piercings and www.bmezine.com is one of them. Head to the encyclopedia section.

Remember that not all piercers are equally skilled and educated. Just because someone is a professional piercer does NOT mean they are qualified to pierce your genitals correctly. We've all been to a hairstylist who didn't know what they were doing; you don't want that experience with a piercer. This is another reason not to get pierced on vacation. You want to be pierced in a reputable shop with an expierenced piercer. Get references on piercers in your area so you know the background of the person who is working on you. Ask questions about their experience and ask questions durring the piercing process. Protect yourself by carefully choosing your piercer.
    My advice: Don't do it.

I have heard that it can give you more pleasure during sex, but there is also the risk that you could lose all sensation as well. Not worth it, in my eyes.

And the way I see it is, if you have to get a piercing ';down there'; to enhance sex, someone isn't doing their job right in the bedroom. Just my outlook.
    Don't do it.

It's very painful as this is one of the most sensitive parts of your body. It will not improve your sex life and you risk serious infection.

Bottom line, Not a smart idea.

definitely do it he'll fell better with u with his tongue and also you'll fell better by yourself
Make sure to remove it before going through security at the airport.
I think you should do it but not on vacation.
uhm ouchhh ! that sounds painful.
ahaha your clit, i bet that'll hurt.
    it sounds OUTCH!

I am looking for a new vacuum cleaner and need some advice.?

Which cleaner will be better at picking up stubborn dog hairs?

2400 watts or 1700 watts and does a turbo brush make any difference?I am looking for a new vacuum cleaner and need some advice.?
Whatever you do DO NOT BUY A DYSON!!!! They are cheap and plasticky, very poor build quality. Mine fell apart after six months. Replacement cheap plasticky bits cost the earth. Buy a Miele if you can afford it. They do a brilliant one for pet hairs.I am looking for a new vacuum cleaner and need some advice.?
    ok stroppy cow!

get a henry they will outlast a dyson a much over-rated vaccum on ebay 50 bags approx 拢10.00
Get a miele i swear but it, they are so powerful and there is a model especially for cat and dog hairs.
While Dyson is expensive but it is the best on the market. As there is no dustbag you will not waste precious time cleaning it. I bought one two years ago and never looked back. It's a sound investment and time-saver.
the most expensive isn't always the best....i have had Dyson and depending on which type you buy it will only pick up certain types of dirt. i have bought a VAX bubble and it the best hoover i have ever had and i am an experienced house wife!...so long as its at least a 1400 it will be fine and never pay more than 拢120
I totally think Dyson. I have neer found anything better and it gets my dogs hair up great and they are like pine needles!

When we first used it my carpet looked almost new!! =)
you will be better off getting a bagless cleaner not so much to get clogged by the hairs, got one in currys hoover sprint, small but powerful. can be use with or withour bag's if it was a man i would marry it. lol
dyson you cant beat it they do a special one for pet hairs. or a henry is really good.
I have heard that the Dyson's are amazing with animal hair.
Get a Vorwerk one! They last yearsssssssssssssssss, and they're really good - although they aren't that cheap - but they last longer so is it worth it.

Dysons are good, but they're not as good quality - had a Vorwerk for at least 10 years then decided to get a Dyson, and the Dyson broke after 3 years so went and got another Vorwerk - emptying bags ain't that big a deal!
    Get a dyson
Since you have a dog, and I know what it's like, I have 2, get a Dyson Animal! They do wonders on getting up stubborn dog hair. I used to work with someone who got one and has a long haired dog and it sucked the hair right up without a problem! They are more expensive but it's the best money you will spend on a vacuum.
i bought a Dyson and never looked back. I would recommend a Dyson every time.
Get a Miele 5000 series. A bit pricey but well worth it and comes with a turbo head complete with light to see all those dark nooks and crannys. Has disposable bags and filters which are easily available.
Just get an Oreck. They are WONDERFUL: effective cleaning, HEPA filtration, and only 8 lbs! Plus you can buy it on the installment plan. It apparently works well on pet hair because I have an inside dog and I don't even notice the hair.

The Oreck comes with a superfantastico portable canister vac that is even lighter and has a shoulder strap so you can walk around getting the dust [and pet hair] in and out of your nooks and crannies and off of your furniture. I think you can also get their cordless iron as a free gift when you buy it, oh joy of joys. Just go to oreck.com to buy it.
well, I have had LOTS of different vacumn cleaners in my time. I would always choose a canister over an upright. We have a super vac repair/sales shop in our town.... a family owned business that has been around for over 50 yrs, and his advice was the same to me....pick a good canister. Top of the line is Miele or Electrolux and well worth the extra cost. One with the motorized carpet attachment will get up pet hair very well. I have had several Hoover uprights, Eureka uprights, and one Dirt Devil. I wouldn't give you 2 cents for another Dirt Devil. The best I ever had was a refurbished Electrolux. ( I couldn't afford a new one). So I would suggest you shop around for places that specialize in sales and service and I'm sure you will find a really nice one that will work for your needs.
Best on the market in my opinion is undoubtedly a DYSON. Great for pet hairs on carpets %26amp; furniture. If you have stairs it has an extremely long reach!
I have had many hoovers over the years and always thought that the Dyson was an overrated, overpriced hoover for idiots.

Then my Husband bight one when our last hoover broke and I am totally converted.

Picks up all those dog hairs first time and carpet never looked so good. Its very powerful and pulls the pile back up and makes the carpet look like new.

I'm trying to get hubby to buy me a Dyson washing machine now as well.
can only say , the best is DYSON
I bought a 1400watt cylinder hoover from ebay at 拢14, and it was FAB! got all the dog hairs and rabbit hairs up, all the daughter's bits of dropped foods (she's 4) and it was VERY good on laminate wood floor. Then it died :-( and we got a 2220 Electrolux upright which spits hard bits out the back (directly at my legs) but admittedly it DOES lift the carpet in the hall :-O which my husband says is good. Id recommend buy cheap/chearfull and replace as and when needed
Sorry to be boring, but get a Dyson
Dont buy anythnig cheap - spend a bit of extra money to get better quality
You have to buy a DYSON, they are awesome, and you do the job in half the time, they get cat hair up so easy you will never look back!

For 拢200 you will have a vacuum that will last 10 years.
