The great thing about starting a lawn mowing run is that relatively inexpensive to setup.
Make up flyers on your computer and distribute them in mailboxes in the area/s you want to service. Use a simple graphic depicting someone mowing too. (And) don't use a lot of text. List your services in point form like... *MOWING* *EDGEING* SWEEPING* etc. Use words like freindly and reliable.
Also a small advert in your local newspaper should help too but keep that simple like...Lawns mowed from ($whatever your minimum will be). Reliable. Phone #
You can offer people loyalty discounts if they continue with your service on a regular basis. Discuss this with them when they first enquire. Say a cut every 7-10 days in summer and they will get ?% off. That's what they generally referred to as a customer loyalty system. Also older people expect a discount.
Hope that helps and happy mowing.
CheersWhat is some good advice on starting a lawn mowing business?
well the first thing to do would be to learn all you can about grass, you just can't put a mower on someones lawn and just scalp it. grass is a plant and should be treated like one
Start at the earliest.Rainy season is on the way.
Good Luck.
