Can you help with this problem????
3x^4-3Can someone help with polynomials. Any advice will be great...?
i will assume that 3x^4-3=0 and that you are solving for x
3x^4=3, by rearranging
x^4=3/3
x^4=1
x = 1 or -1Can someone help with polynomials. Any advice will be great...?
If the ^4 refers only to the x, and you're not really meaning to say (3x)^4, then you can't do anything else with this problem; the expression can't be reduced any further.
In general, remember the order of operations: First take care of exponents, tthen multiply and/or divide, then add and/or subtract.
Hope this helps! Feel free to email me if you have any further questions.
Mistake: What do you want?
I suppose that you may want to factorise the expression.if so
please see the following:
3x^4-3=
3(x^4-1)=
3[(x^2)^2-1]=
3[(x^2-1)(x^2+1)]=
3(x+1)(x-1)(x^2+1).....(for real expression only)
3(x+1)(x-1)(x+i)(x-i)....(for complex expression)
It is not a problem !
You have an expression. What do you want to do with it?
